High level edge protection was required by our client on this building. We were able to apply our IPAF training and qualifications whilst using a lifting boom to install the required handrail.  

 

 

 

Topolksi is a unique space set within the railway arches between Waterloo Station and Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall, incorporating a cafe, wine bar and night club 

 

The walls inside are covered with Polish expressionist painter Feliks Topolski's artwork, this was his former studio  

 

A bespoke scaffolding structure forming a hanging art display, was erected underneath the railway arches 

 

When the existing Barristers' chambers at 49/50 Fleet Street became vacant, Apex Hotels, owners of the adjacent Apex Temple Court Hotel, decided to take over the Grade II listed building and convert it into additional rooms and front of house areas. 

 

The project itself will see the upper floors converted into 20 stylish new rooms, whilst the existing ornate entrance hall is being converted into a new bar and restaurant. Particular challenges with the project include the protection and refurbishment of numerous listed features within the building such as the decorative metalwork cladding to the lift shafts. In addition, the central London location has posed logistical challenges that have required the team to carefully coordinate deliveries and liaise closely with the adjacent business in order to minimise disruption.
